SATO launches Judo XL, a hand labelling system to mark items using big, bold fonts
Singapore, May 06 2008 – SATO, a pioneer in the Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) industry and a leader in barcode printing, labelling, and EPC/RFID solutions announced its latest line of hand labelling systems: JUDO XL, which equips end-users with the capability to mark or code items with larger, bolder alphanumeric characters.
|
The JUDO XL builds on the success of Kendo and Judo, one-line and two-line benchmark-setting hand labelling systems respectively. JUDO XL offers extensive alphanumeric capability in larger, bolder print – font height of up to 7.6mm.

The enhanced functionality makes it perfect for larger-sized promotional labelling applications such as specially discounted prices, bundle sales and price markdown. It is also ideal for food safety related applications to mark and monitor ingredient freshness. Applications also extend to manufacturing processes, wherever there is a need to mark or code items for quality assurance.
The JUDO XL has a host of user-friendly features: its ergonomic design, including a light, comfortable grip, makes it well-suited for repeated use without end-users feeling much fatigue. Its wide open path means that label loading is now a simple task. It can accommodate various label types, from face-in and face-out to rectangular and wavy labels. The easy-to-load ‘drop in’ ink rollers are neatly contained in plastic capsules. It ensures that end-users’ hands are kept clean. The ink rollers are also uniquely designed for optimum release rate to guarantee the clearest printout possible on the label.
“The JUDO XL fits the ‘low-cost, high-value’ requirements of businesses especially in the retail sector. SATO remains committed to developing products that improve accuracy, operational efficiency and productivity through a fast and easy-to-manage marking or coding solution,” said Kaz Matsuyama, Managing Director of SATO International. |
