SATO Introduces latest desktop printer – CX400
Compact and Versatile

SINGAPORE - April 01, 2003. Barcode SATO, a leader in barcode printing since introducing the first thermal transfer barcode printer in 1979, today announced the release of its latest desktop printer in the “Compact” series – the new CX400 direct thermal/thermal transfer printer. It is also an upgraded version of the current CX208 and is a new generation of SATO’s desktop printers with a small footprint.
SATO's new CX400 with the 32-Bit high-speed RISC allows for maximum throughput directly from standard Windows® applications as well as SATO’s proprietary labeling software – SATO Label Gallery. Suitable for low-volume printing needs, it is able to print text and fine detailed graphics with sharp and precise print image in addition to smaller size 2-D codes such as Maxicode and PDF417.

With a printing speed of 4 inch per second, this compact printer is set to impress. Additional features include a flexible interface module – RS-232C and Centronics interface as a standard and optional interface modules include 100Base-TX LAN adapter, 10Base-T LAN adapter and USB (all via the parallel port). In addition, you can also choose to add on an additional 2 or 4 MB Flash Memory for additional data storage.

Designed with “ease of usage” in mind, the CX400 has a wide compartment for easy media loading. With its smooth lines and curves, this is one compact printer you can place on a front desk.

The new CX400 from SATO is compact, versatile, dependable and cost effective for today's demanding labeling applications.
