LABEL BUSINESS EXPANDS – NEW OFFICE IN COVENTRY

December 04, 2003 - Labelling systems business SATO UK has opened a new regional office in the West Midlands and expanded its sales force nationwide.

The regional office in Coventry (southeast area of Birmingham) is the fourth the company has opened around the country to give in-depth local support for its expanding labelling business focusing on Birmingham area and Midlands. The office is a sales and service centre for all SATO products including hand-held labelling systems, desk-top label printers, label print/apply systems and all associated consumables, ancillaries and services.

“It will be particularly useful as a Midlands base for SATO’s hand-held system specialists,” explained Sales and Marketing Director Mike Doogan. “We have doubled the number of personnel dedicated to this part of our business to ensure we maintain our 30 year pre-eminence in this sector, setting even higher standards of local support and service.”

SATO UK is based in Harwich, Essex, with established branch offices in Glasgow and Leeds. Its customers range from the retail sector to manufacturing, distribution, healthcare and service industries. At Dovercourt, Harwich SATO has two separate operations on the five acre site: a support and development centre for its UK network of equipment resellers which was relocated from Germany in 2001 and a label manufacturing and systems supply business based on the operation that has been there since 1958.
