Meet the Market’s Fastest Mobile Barcode Printer with SATO’s
New MB20xi Series

Brussels, 8 February, 2006 – SATO, the world’s leading manufacturer of label and barcode printers and a specialist in data collection systems (DCS) and radio frequency identification (RFID), speeds up the mobile printing market by presenting their new barcode printers
MB200i and MB201i.

Both models have a print speed of 103mm/s at a print resolution of 203dpi, with the MB200i offering a maximum print width of 67mm, compared to the MB201i’s 58mm. Their choice of interfacing methods, such as Infrared, Bluetooth or WLAN, lets the user enjoy all the advantages of wireless connectivity. Moreover, the optional shoulder strap or belt clip allow comfort and ease of carrying while on the move.

Besides maximum print speed and connectivity, special attention was given to stability and endurance for the design of this new printer generation. Despite the light-weight of about 400 grams, the new polycarbonate casing offers high performance for mobile applications in harsh environments, even in extreme printing conditions ranging from -15 to 50°C. The cover is reinforced for extra shock-absorbing protection. For improved productivity, SATO has doubled the battery life compared to the previous models.

In the retail environment, SATO’s new mobile barcode printers are especially suitable for all sorts of price labelling operations directly at the POS, such as sales promotions for slow moving products.

The MB20xi Series is also a perfect tool to replace manual ticket issuing. Automatic ticket labelling not only speeds up the process and avoids congestion, but also guarantees professional handling. With SATO’s new mobile printers, counterfeit ticket copies and illegible, handwritten tickets are yesterday’s news.

In the logistics environment, SATO’s MB200i and MB201i can make your picking process easier and more efficient, as the WLAN connection allows automatic inventory check and precise identification and allocation of the picked goods.
