SATO Green Factory (SGF)

"SGF" is a system that encourages customers who are yet to achieve ISO14001 certification to establish environmental management systems in accordance with SATO's own standards.
We actively participate in the initial stages as well as in their daily operations, supporting the customers committed to reducing their environmental burden. Regular audits and renewal are also performed on those who comply.

Joint Afforestation Projects in Laos

Aware of our social responsibility in the preservation of forestry resources, an area that relates directly to our main business, we have been participating in an afforestation business in Laos since January 2006.

Reduction of Environmental Load in Areas of Transportation and Logistics
  • We use thin pallets for transporting products between factories and logistics centers, which have reduced the number of times the pallets are returned to factories and has improved the efficiency of transportation.
  • Reduction in the frequency of delivery of service parts between logistics centers and support centers from everyday to twice a week
  • Switching the means of transporting raw materials to Kitakami Factory from trucks to trains
  • We use foldable containers as exterior boxes for carbon ribbons, thereby reducing packaging material waste.
  • We recycle shrinking materials used to prevent cargo shifting.
