The new CT4i was designed to meet application requirements where cleanliness and hygiene, in addition to print quality performance, are not only essential but a pre-requisite. Hospitals’ staff rely on automated procedures, from accurate input, data verification and update in real-time. Wristbands are at the heart of the SATO Healthcare ID Solution, aimed at improving patient safety and freeing hospital staff from manual entry, paperwork and other clerical tasks. To effectively meet the strict standards of the Five Rights* checks, wristbands require printing equipment that can guarantee barcode-compliant print quality, including two-dimensional (2-D) barcodes, and be able to print graphics or photos if required.

The feature-rich CT4i series come in 203dpi, 305dpi and 600dpi print resolution and with option of thermal transfer or direct thermal printing. With a 32 bit RISC CPU, 6ips print speed and high speed interface, the CT4i series is a powerful performer in a compact design. The CT4i series is perfect for environments where space is a constraint. With an anti-microbial feature, which boasts effectiveness against micro organism, it is most suitable to use in the healthcare environment where cleanliness and hygiene are factors that should not be compromised on. The HF RFID option will meet much-needed applications requirements for compact RFID printing solutions. Designed to provide convenience, the CT4i printer has a unique mechanism, which caters for easy loading of ribbon and labels. USB with either LAN or RS232C serial communication interface are standard, and optionally a plug-in interface enables wireless or Bluetooth connectivity.
