SATO Wins Three Awards At The 21st World Label Association Awards Competition
11/2/2009
Singapore, November 2, 2009 – SATO, a pioneer in
the Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) industry and a
leader in barcode printing, labelling, and EPC/RFID solutions, has won a
record of three first-place awards at the prestigious 21st World Label
Association Awards Competition.
The competition rewards the "World’s Best Labels" every year. Panel
members met on September 22 in Belgium to judge the winning entries of
the respective domestic competitions worldwide, all closely competing in
terms of their exceptional printing and design technology.
While it was a record breaking achievement for the Japan Federation of
Label Printing Industries (JFLP) to walk away with eleven awards in
total, SATO’s presence as a member of JFLP was definitely outstanding.
SATO has received the first-place award in Letterpress (Cosmetics)
category for three consecutive years, and clinched another first-place
in Letterpress (Colour Process) and Letterpress (Wine & Spirits)
categories. Meanwhile, SATO also continued to build its reputation
domestically via securing awards at Seal and Label Contest (JFLP, Japan)
for twelve years in a row since 1998.
“Once again, it is our great pleasure to be rewarded for our excellence
in customized labels. Equipped with full capability to cover every label
design and production steps, we will continue to strive even further
for the ultimate satisfaction of our customers,” said Koichi Nishida,
President and Chief Executive Officer of SATO Corporation.
