SATO showcases innovative retail solutions at Retail World Asia 2011


Singapore, April 11, 2011 – SATO, a pioneer in the Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) industry and a leader in barcode printing, labelling, and EPC/RFID solutions has announced that it will be showcasing its retail printing solutions at this year’s Retail World Asia. 

Formerly known as Retail Solutions World Asia, the show aims to bring together major retailers in Asia to share ideas and experiences. Retailers will be seeking as always to evaluate, upgrade and purchase solutions that can help improve their daily and strategic operations. 

SATO will be showcasing its latest innovative retail printing solution, the TH2. It is a lightweight, portable printer that does not require to be connected to a PC or host. Many retail outlets currently handle price markdowns using pre-printed or handwritten labels. The TH2 with its automatic price calculation functionality enables quick and cost-effective price markdowns at short notice to clear end of line or perishable products or to improve inventory flow. The TH2 has a real time calendar feature that allows for time and date stamp labelling. The combination of the automatic calculation and real-time calendar features enables hassle-free and accurate printing of ‘use by’ or ‘consume by’ labels as well as labels with instructions about freezing, thawing and discarding of foods.
