[Release] CeBIT 2017 Visitors Get on Board with the Transformative Power of SATO IoT Solutions


Tokyo, April 24, 2017 – SATO, a leading global provider of Auto-ID solutions that empowers workforces and streamlines operations experienced an unprecedented amount of interest in its cutting-edge IoT solutions at CeBIT 2017, the premier global event for the digitalization of business and society.

Six innovative SATO solutions were on display, demonstrating the company’s ability to connect ‘the Last Inch’ to IoT at customers’ business sites with a characteristically hands-on, on-site ‘Genbaryoku’ approach to problem solving.

Of particular interest to visitors was SATO Global Solutions’ (SGS) VISION Retail Platform. On display at a trade show for the first time in Europe, the ground-breaking retail solution generated a third of all leads during the five-day show.

A ‘game-changer for High Street retailing,’ VISION Retail Platform connects with Radio Frequency Identifcation (RFID) tags, sensors, gateways applications and barcodes. Harnessing the power of the IoT, the platform delivers real-time inventory visibility and enhances the consumer experience.

Also in demand at the SATO stand was DataLase Inline Digital Printing, a disruptive, inkless late stage digital print solution that enables enhanced personlization capability for brands. ‘A unique, breakthrough technology that allows true real-time messaging and variable data on pack,’ according to DataLase CMO Mark Naples, the DataLase solution can unleash the power of the IoT across a wide range of sectors for brands and retailers.

In addition to DataLase, SATO presented its first-in first-out inventory solution Trace Cabinet; the cloud-based preventative maintenance solution SOS (SATO Online Services); its virtual warehouse director, Visual Warehouse and a revolutionary eco-material, Econano.
